Entrtoquinol : It is Old, mainly
amoebicidal, limited role, safety concerns.
Ofloxacin + Ornidazole: Broad-spectrum, faster recovery, modern standard of care for mixed/uncertain etiology dysentery.

Enteroquinol seemed highly effective in its era because amoebic infections dominated and treatment goals were different.
Today’s dysentery is more often bacterial or mixed, sometimes drug-resistant, so we use Ofloxacin + Ornidazole (or other modern combos) for broader and faster control.
