Today, July 28th , is World Hepatitis Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness about viral hepatitis, a serious liver infection, and promoting prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The date was chosen to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Baruch Blumberg, who discovered the hepatitis B virus and developed a vaccine for it.
